The BA (Hons) Business and Tourism program provides a comprehensive education in both business management and the global tourism sector, combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience. In Year 1, students develop foundational understanding through modules such as Discovering Tourism, Exploring Business Environments, Global Tourism Policy and Society, and the Social Enterprise Challenge, which introduce key concepts in tourism, business operations, and ethical enterprise. Year 2 emphasizes applied learning and analytical skills through modules including Business Solutions Lab, From Data to Decisions, Navigating Complexity in Business and Tourism, and Sustainable Futures and Ethical Tourism, equipping students to address real-world challenges and consider sustainability and ethical considerations in tourism practice. In Year 3, students focus on strategic and innovative aspects of the industry with compulsory modules such as Leading the Future in Business and Tourism and Smart Destinations and Tech-Powered Tourism, preparing them to utilize emerging technologies and lead initiatives that enhance tourism experiences. Optional modules allow for specialization in areas such as business research, enterprise development, leadership, and future-focused strategies, enabling students to tailor their learning to career aspirations.
