COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Hospitality program provides a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry while equipping students with essential business and leadership skills. In Year 1, students build a foundation in both business and hospitality through modules such as Discovering Hospitality, Exploring Business Environments, Hospitality: Roots to Revolution, and the Social Enterprise Challenge, which introduce industry principles, historical perspectives, and entrepreneurial thinking. Year 2 develops practical and analytical skills through modules including Business Solutions Lab, From Data to Decisions, Gastronomy Culture and Practice, and Navigating Complexity in Business and Hospitality, enabling students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-world challenges and enhance their understanding of operations, culture, and customer experience. In Year 3, the focus shifts to leadership, innovation, and advanced hospitality management through modules such as Leading the Future in Business and Hospitality and Transforming Experience, Mastering Delight, which emphasize strategic thinking, creativity, and excellence in service. Optional modules allow students to tailor their studies with a focus on business research, enterprise, leadership development, and future business trends. Throughout the course, students engage in practical projects, industry collaborations, and experiential learning, preparing them to lead, innovate, and deliver outstanding service in diverse hospitality settings. Graduates are equipped for careers in hotel management, tourism, event planning, food and beverage operations, and entrepreneurial ventures within the hospitality sector.
