COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Finance program provides a comprehensive education in financial management, business strategy, and contemporary economic practices, combining academic study with practical experience. In Year 1, students develop foundational knowledge through modules such as Discovering Financial Markets, Exploring Business Environments, Social Enterprise Challenge, and The Finance Professional's Toolkit, which introduce core principles of finance, business operations, and professional skills. Year 2 builds on this foundation with a focus on analytical and strategic capabilities through modules including Business Solutions Lab, Financial Analysis and Forecasting, From Data to Decisions, and Sustainable Finance, equipping students to interpret financial data and make informed business decisions. In Year 3, the program explores advanced and emerging topics in finance such as Blockchain and Cryptocurrencies and Investment and Risk Strategies, preparing students to engage with evolving financial markets and technologies. Optional modules allow further specialization in areas such as business research, enterprise development, leadership, and venture creation, enabling students to tailor their studies to career goals. Throughout the degree, practical projects, case studies, and industry-focused activities develop problem-solving, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
