The BSc Accounting and Finance degree offers a structured progression across three years, equipping students with a strong foundation in core areas while allowing them to explore specialist topics. In the first year, students build essential knowledge through modules such as Financial Accounting, Quantitative Skills for Accounting and Finance, Business Economics, Management Accounting, Principles of Finance, and Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance. These provide the groundwork for understanding financial systems, analytical methods, and the ethical responsibilities of the profession. In the second year, the focus shifts to applying this knowledge in more advanced contexts with modules like Financial Reporting, Strategic Management, Intermediate Management Accounting, Corporate Finance, Business Law, and an extended study of Principles of Finance. These modules develop technical skills and critical perspectives needed for decision-making in business and finance. The third year offers advanced study and flexibility through compulsory modules such as Advanced Financial Accounting and Investments and Portfolio Management, alongside a wide range of optional modules.
