COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA Graphic Design degree provides a progressive structure that develops creative, technical, and professional skills over three years, preparing students for a successful career in the design industry. In the first year, students focus on building strong foundations through modules in design fundamentals, perspectives, and storytelling, alongside practical skills in typography and motion graphics, both highly valued by employers. They also begin to explore personal creativity and identity through projects that encourage experimentation and self-expression. The second year shifts towards applied design, with modules that explore brand experiences, wayfinding, supergraphics, and data-driven design. A dedicated Design Agency module gives students the chance to work in a studio environment, mirroring professional practice and developing teamwork, communication, and client-facing skills. In the final year, students refine their individual creative direction through modules such as Creative Ambition, which encourages innovative and personal project work, and Discover & Define / Develop & Deliver, which guide students through the process of producing polished, professional-standard outcomes. The inclusion of Design Ethics ensures students consider the social and cultural responsibilities of their work, preparing them to respond thoughtfully to global challenges. The program’s blend of creativity, professionalism, and ethical awareness equips graduates for diverse careers across the design and creative industries.
