COURSE CURRICULUM

This three-year undergraduate law degree offers a progressive and well-structured legal education designed to prepare students for both academic and professional success. In Year 1, students are introduced to core concepts through Public Law, which explores constitutional principles, the separation of powers, and the Human Rights Act. Law of Contract covers essential principles of agreement formation and enforcement, while the Legal System module provides knowledge of the UK’s court hierarchy, legal professions, and procedural rules. Legal Skills, Advocacy and Professional Ethics equips students with foundational legal techniques, ethical awareness, and advocacy practice crucial for future stages. In Year 2, Land Law focuses on property rights and interests, enhancing students’ ability to interpret legal texts and apply problem-solving skills to land-related issues. Law of Torts examines civil wrongs and compensatory justice, reinforcing legal reasoning and academic writing. Criminal Law introduces the structure of criminal liability, selected offences, and defences, incorporating problem-solving and statutory interpretation aligned with the Solicitor’s Qualifying Exam. In Year 3, Equity and Trusts is a core module offering deep insights into equitable remedies and trust management. Students then choose from a wide range of specialised modules such as Family Law, Company Law, Intellectual Property, and Medical Law, enabling them to tailor their study to specific interests or career goals.
