COURSE CURRICULUM

This three-year pharmaceutical science program equips students with a strong foundation in scientific principles, practical laboratory skills, and industry-specific knowledge. In Year 1, students explore the fundamentals of pharmaceutical science, including formulation, pharmacokinetics, and international manufacturing standards. Core scientific concepts from atomic structures to ecosystems are covered alongside hands-on lab work, where students develop essential observation, measurement, and data interpretation skills. Year 2 focuses on human physiology, pharmacology, and the integration of scientific theory with industrial practices. Modules in pharmaceutical product development and pharmaceutics emphasize formulation, aseptic techniques, drug delivery systems, and industry regulations such as GMP and GLP. Instrumental analysis and research skills prepare students for scientific inquiry and professional development. In Year 3, students undertake a significant independent research project applying their accumulated knowledge. They study advanced topics such as drug design and delivery, chemometrics, and neuropharmacology, gaining insights into CNS disorders and novel drug therapies. The program also covers modern instrumental techniques and data evaluation, emphasizing their application in pharmaceutical problem-solving. Students can choose to complete a science internship or focus on personal and professional development to enhance career readiness.
