COURSE CURRICULUM

This degree offers a unique interdisciplinary approach by combining core principles of business management with psychological theories and methods. In the first year, students are introduced to fundamental business concepts through modules such as Business Planning and Development, International Business Functions, and International Business Environment, which provide insight into how businesses operate in global contexts. Simultaneously, foundational psychological knowledge is developed through Introduction to Psychology and Research Methods in Psychology 1. These modules equip students with essential research skills and a basic understanding of human behavior. In the second year, the integration deepens with a stronger focus on both applied business and advanced psychological topics. Students explore management practices and career preparation while studying specialized areas in psychology including Cognitive Psychology and Neuroscience, Brain and Behaviour, Social Psychology, and Developmental Psychology. Additionally, students build expertise in data analysis and research design through modules like Psychological Research Methods and Research Statistics for Psychology. This combination of management insight and psychological depth supports the development of analytical and interpersonal skills highly valued in professional environments. In the final year, the program emphasizes practical application and independent research. Students undertake the BSc Psychology Project, allowing them to design and conduct a study on a topic of interest. Business modules such as Organisational Decision Making and Critical Approaches to Organisational Behaviour encourage students to examine contemporary workplace challenges using psychological perspectives. Topics such as Personality and Individual Differences, Organisational Psychology, and Psychopathology further enhance understanding of individual and group behavior in professional settings. Optional modules in leadership and negotiation provide additional practical tools for managing people and processes.
