COURSE CURRICULUM

The accounting degree program provides a comprehensive education in financial and management accounting, business finance, analytics, and emerging technologies. In Year 1, students are introduced to core accounting principles through modules in Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Quantitative Methods, and Finance and Economics. These courses establish foundational skills in double-entry bookkeeping, cost analysis, statistical reasoning, and the financial system. The Personal and Professional Development module supports students’ transition into university life, focusing on academic and employability skills.In Year 2, students build on these foundations with practical modules such as Management Control and Accounting Information Systems. These courses deepen understanding of costing, decision-making, and the role of IT in accounting. Business Analytics I enhances data handling and modelling skills, while Managing Business Finance introduces financial decision-making from a managerial perspective. The FinTech Fundamentals module explores technological innovations in finance, and the Future Paths module supports career planning and employability.In the final year, the Consultancy Project offers real-world experience in problem-solving and client interaction. Advanced modules like Business Analytics II and Artificial Intelligence in Accounting focus on data visualization, machine learning, and programming with Python. The Corporate Governance, Ethics and Sustainable Practices module addresses regulatory frameworks and ethical decision-making. Managing Business Processes with SAP trains students in ERP systems, particularly in financial and management accounting integration through live simulations.
