COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Molecular Medicine program is designed to provide students with advanced knowledge and practical skills in the study of human diseases at the molecular level. Core modules include Advanced Research Skills, Gene Technology and Synthetic Biology, Protein Technologies and Proteomics, Molecular Mechanisms of Disease, and Genomics, all of which equip students with the scientific understanding required to investigate disease processes and develop innovative solutions in healthcare and biotechnology. A major component of the program is the Research Project, which spans 60 credits and allows students to conduct an in-depth investigation in a research environment, working alongside expert academics and PhD researchers. This immersive experience provides hands-on training in experimental design, laboratory techniques, data analysis, and interpretation, ensuring students develop critical research skills. Professional Skills and the Business of Biosciences further prepare students to navigate the commercial and regulatory aspects of the life sciences sector, enhancing employability in academia, healthcare, diagnostics, and the biotechnology industry.
