COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the neural mechanisms underlying human thought, behaviour, and interaction. Central to the program is the Research Project, which allows students to apply advanced research skills and investigate topics in cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology in depth. Core modules include the Neurocognition of Human Interaction, offering insight into how neural processes shape social behaviour and cognitive functions. Students also undertake rigorous training in Fundamental Statistics for Research and Numerical Methods in Cognitive Neuroscience, equipping them with the quantitative and computational skills necessary for high-quality empirical research. The Theory and Methods in Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuropsychology module integrates theoretical knowledge with practical methodological expertise, covering experimental design, neuroimaging techniques, and cognitive assessment methods. Optional modules allow students to tailor their learning to specific research interests, exploring areas such as language processing, memory, perception, or clinical neuropsychology. Throughout the course, students develop the ability to analyse complex data, interpret cognitive and neural findings, and apply theoretical frameworks to real-world problems. Graduates leave with a solid foundation in both the theoretical and practical aspects of cognitive neuroscience and neuropsychology, ready for careers in research, clinical practice, or further doctoral study.
