COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Professional Accounting at Essex Business School offers a structured program that develops advanced knowledge and practical expertise in key areas of accounting and finance. Students complete a major 60-credit core component, choosing between BE980-7-FY or BE967-7-PS, which allows them to engage in an in-depth exploration of specialist topics. Compulsory modules in Corporate Reporting and Analysis and Financial Decision Making, each worth 20 credits, strengthen understanding of financial reporting, performance evaluation, and the decision-making processes that shape business outcomes. In addition, students have the flexibility to tailor their studies through 60 credits of optional modules offered at Essex Business School’s Colchester campus, enabling them to align their learning with specific career ambitions or areas of interest.
