COURSE CURRICULUM

The MFA Acting (International) at East 15 Acting School is structured over two years to provide intensive, professional actor training that combines technical skill, performance experience, and creative development. In the first year, students focus on core modules designed to build a strong foundation in acting. Advanced Acting Technique (30 credits) develops physical, vocal, and emotional skills, while Character and Scene Work (30 credits) allows students to apply these skills to create detailed, authentic characters and collaborate on scenes. Shakespeare (30 credits) offers an in-depth exploration of classical text, including interpretation and performance, and Contemporary Texts (30 credits) provides training across a range of modern genres and styles, ensuring versatility and adaptability in performance. In the final year, students undertake a major 60-credit core-with-options module, either EA612-7-SU or EA613-7-SU, which typically involves a significant performance or research project. Additional core modules include Theatre Performance 1, 2, and 3, each worth 30 credits, giving students extensive stage experience in professionally supported, publicly presented productions. Film, Radio, and Voiceover (30 credits) develops skills for screen and audio performance, enhancing employability across multiple media platforms. This structure ensures that graduates leave the program as confident, versatile, and industry-ready actors, capable of performing across stage, screen, and voice mediums.
