COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Psycholinguistics program provides students with advanced training in the study of language processing, acquisition, and development, combining theoretical knowledge with practical research skills. The course includes a core dissertation, which allows students to design, conduct, and analyze independent research projects, developing expertise in experimental methods. Compulsory modules cover experimental analysis, equipping students with the tools to study language through data-driven research, and developmental psycholinguistics, which examines how language is acquired and processed from infancy through adulthood. Students also study key topics in psycholinguistics, exploring how humans perceive, produce, and understand language, as well as the cognitive and neural mechanisms underlying these processes. The program offers flexibility through compulsory with options and fully optional modules, allowing students to tailor their studies to their specific interests, whether in experimental methods, developmental processes, or other areas of linguistics. This combination of theory, research methods, and specialized study ensures that graduates are well-prepared for careers in academic research, speech and language therapy, education, and other language-focused fields. By the end of the program, students will have a thorough understanding of psycholinguistic principles, practical experience in conducting rigorous research, and the ability to critically evaluate and communicate findings in the field.
