COURSE CURRICULUM

This program offers a rigorous and interdisciplinary approach to understanding organisations, combining management theory, human resource practices, and psychoanalytic perspectives. At its core, students undertake Research Methods and a Dissertation, worth 60 credits, providing essential skills in independent research, critical analysis, and academic inquiry. Compulsory modules cover key areas that explore both theoretical frameworks and practical applications in organisational contexts. Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management, and Management and Strategy, each worth 20 credits, provide insights into the functioning of organisations, leadership, strategy, and workforce dynamics. Psychoanalytic Theory, a 30-credit module, equips students with an understanding of unconscious processes that influence organisational behaviour, while Experiencing Organisations: Reflexivity and Analysis, worth 20 credits, emphasises experiential learning, self-reflection, and analytical skills to understand group and organisational dynamics in practice. Psychoanalysis of Groups and Organisations, a 30-credit module, deepens this exploration by examining the interaction between individuals, groups, and organisational systems through psychoanalytic lenses. Together, these modules offer a balanced and integrative curriculum, combining theory, research, and practical experience.
