COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Creative Writing program is structured to provide a comprehensive and practice-focused approach to developing advanced writing skills. At the heart of the course is the dissertation, which accounts for a significant portion of the program and allows students to undertake a substantial creative project, applying the skills and techniques they have developed throughout their studies. To prepare for this, students engage in a compulsory dissertation preparation module that builds postgraduate research and writing skills, ensuring they are equipped to plan, structure, and execute a large-scale creative work effectively. Complementing this is the Creative Writing Workshop, a compulsory module that provides a collaborative environment where students can refine their writing through feedback, discussion, and experimentation.
