COURSE CURRICULUM

The MA Acting (International) at East 15 Acting School is structured to provide comprehensive, intensive training that develops both technical skill and artistic versatility. Core modules include Advanced Acting Technique, which focuses on refining students’ physical, vocal, and emotional skills to create authentic, dynamic performances, and Character and Scene Work, where students apply these techniques to develop detailed, three-dimensional characters and work collaboratively on scenes. The Shakespeare module offers an immersive study of classical text, including interpretation, performance, and historical context, while Contemporary Texts provides training in a wide range of modern performance styles and genres, enabling students to adapt their skills to diverse theatrical and screen contexts. A major 60-credit core-with-options module, either EA606-7-SU or EA605-7-SU, allows students to undertake a significant performance project, often involving a public showcase, devised production, or other practical application that consolidates their learning. This combination of modules ensures that students gain extensive performance experience, advanced technical training, and critical understanding of both classical and contemporary texts. By the end of the program, graduates are equipped to perform at a professional level, create compelling and truthful characters, and engage confidently with the demands of theatre, film, and screen industries both in the UK and internationally.
