COURSE CURRICULUM

The Corporate Responsibility and Business Law program provides an in-depth exploration of the legal, ethical, and social obligations of businesses in contemporary society. It equips students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand how businesses can operate responsibly, balancing commercial objectives with societal expectations. Core components include the study of corporate responsibility and business law, business and human rights, and corporate governance, providing a thorough grounding in the principles, frameworks, and models that shape responsible corporate behaviour. Students also have the opportunity to tailor their studies through optional modules, allowing them to focus on areas such as business law, human rights law, or corporate responsibility law, as well as human rights and corporate responsibility in specific contexts. The program emphasises practical application, encouraging students to analyse real-world issues and develop strategies to promote ethical practices, sustainability, and compliance with legal standards. Through the dissertation, students engage in independent research, critically examining complex problems and proposing evidence-based solutions. Graduates are prepared for a wide range of careers across corporate, legal, public, and non-profit sectors, including roles in corporate governance, compliance, policy development, human rights advocacy, and sustainability initiatives, enabling them to influence business practices and contribute to more accountable and socially responsible organisations both nationally and internationally.
