COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc Accounting and Finance degree provides a structured pathway to develop strong foundations in accounting, finance, and business management, while also offering opportunities for specialisation. In the first year, students are introduced to the core principles of accounting, finance, economics, and management, alongside developing quantitative, analytical, and professional skills. Modules such as Introduction to Accounting I and II, Introduction to Finance, and Quantitative Methods and Finance ensure a strong base in financial literacy, while Introduction to Economics and Management broaden understanding of the wider business context. The second year builds technical knowledge through compulsory modules such as Financial Reporting and Analysis I and II, Management Accounting I and II, Corporate Finance, Financial Modelling, and Portfolio Analysis, giving students expertise in both financial and managerial decision-making. Students also have the flexibility to choose an additional option while benefiting from professional development support. In the final year, advanced study includes Current Issues in Financial Reporting, Advanced Management Accounting, Options and Futures, and Risk Management and Financial Institutions, ensuring graduates are prepared for complex financial environments.
