COURSE CURRICULUM

The BEng Electronic Engineering course at Essex provides a comprehensive foundation in the principles and applications of modern electronics, preparing students to develop the skills needed to design, analyse, and implement complex electronic systems. In the first year, students gain essential knowledge in core areas including fundamental engineering principles, digital and analogue electronics, programming, circuit design, and signal processing, building the mathematical and technical skills required for advanced study. In the second year, the focus expands to more specialised topics such as telecommunication systems, embedded systems, electronic circuits, networks, and computer-aided design, with options to explore areas aligned with individual interests.
