COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA Business Management and Modern Languages degree provides an integrated education in business management and language proficiency, preparing students for global careers in a multicultural environment. In the first year, students gain a foundation in core business subjects including management, marketing, accounting, and professional development, alongside language studies tailored to their ability level, ranging from beginners to post A-level or intermediate. This combination ensures that students build both practical business skills and language competence from the start. In the second year, students continue to advance their business knowledge with modules in areas such as strategy, leadership, and organisational behaviour while further developing their language skills through post-beginners or post A-level options, ensuring practical fluency and cultural understanding. The third year is dedicated to an intensive year abroad, allowing students to immerse themselves in another culture, practise their languages in real-world settings, and gain an international perspective on management. In the fourth year, students consolidate their learning through advanced language modules and specialised business and management options, alongside core business modules that deepen strategic and analytical expertise. Throughout the degree, students are encouraged to develop ethical and responsible management practices and complete a research project or applied module, equipping them with analytical, research, and problem-solving skills. Graduates emerge as globally competent professionals, capable of navigating international business environments and communicating effectively across cultures.
