COURSE CURRICULUM

The Film and Media course at Essex provides a comprehensive understanding of cinema, combining theoretical study with practical production experience. In the first year, students explore approaches to film and media, learning how to critically analyze cinematic texts and understand their cultural, historical, and social significance. Alongside this, practical modules in film production introduce essential skills in creating and interpreting visual media, allowing students to translate theoretical insights into creative practice.
