COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA Business Economics program provides students with a comprehensive understanding of economics and its application in the business world. In the first year, students build a strong foundation through core modules such as Introduction to Economics, Introduction to Marketing, and Introduction to Management, alongside optional modules that allow them to tailor their learning to specific interests. They also develop essential career skills to prepare for professional life. The second year advances this knowledge with intermediate microeconomics, financial instruments and capital markets, and the economics of organisational management, while exploring business strategy and optional modules to broaden expertise. Emphasis is placed on understanding how economic principles impact organisational decision-making, markets, and financial environments. In the final year, students undertake a research project in economics, applying analytical and critical thinking skills to real-world problems. Additional modules on managing new technology and ethics and sustainability ensure that students consider contemporary business challenges and the responsibilities of organisations in a global context. Optional modules allow further specialisation according to individual career goals. Throughout the program, students continuously refine their practical, analytical, and decision-making abilities while developing insights into both theoretical and applied economics. Graduates leave the course equipped with the skills and knowledge to pursue careers in business, finance, consultancy, management, or further academic study, with a strong emphasis on ethical and sustainable decision-making.
