COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Acting degree at East 15 Acting School offers a structured progression over three years, combining practical training with theoretical study to develop versatile, confident actors. In the first year, students are introduced to core acting theory, methods, and practice, with modules such as Introduction to Acting, Verbatim Theatre, Actor and Text, and Improvised Living History. Alongside this, they begin essential technical training in Voice, Movement, Music and Singing, and broaden their understanding through Contextual Studies. The second year deepens this foundation with a focus on extending acting methodology and exploring a variety of techniques and styles. Students study Shakespeare and Elizabethan verse drama while further developing their vocal, physical, and musical skills through Voice II, Movement II, and Music and Singing II, complemented by Contextual Studies II. In the final year, emphasis shifts towards professional preparation and performance, with modules in Production, Audition Technique, Realism, Screen and Radio, and Final Productions that allow students to apply their training in practice. Technical development continues through integrated Voice, Movement, and Music training, while Contextual Studies III rounds out the academic component. This comprehensive curriculum equips students with artistic depth, technical mastery, and professional readiness for the diverse demands of the performing arts industry.
