COURSE CURRICULUM

The module emphasizes continual improvement through self-evaluation and adaptation of teaching practices based on student needs and educational theory.School-Based Learning: Reflections on Practice provides trainees with essential hands-on experience in a secondary school setting. Under the guidance of experienced mentors, trainees observe, plan, and deliver lessons while applying curriculum knowledge and best teaching practices. This module aims to help trainees meet the Teachers’ Standards for Qualified Teacher Status by supporting children's learning and development in real classroom environments. It also encourages professional growth by fostering an understanding of current curriculum initiatives and the practical demands of the teaching profession.Together, these modules offer a comprehensive approach to teacher education, enabling trainees to integrate research, subject knowledge, and real-world experience.
