The Engineering Management program offers a comprehensive and interdisciplinary approach that prepares students for leadership roles in the construction and property industries. One of the core modules, Mental Wealth: Professional Life, emphasizes the role of engineers and construction managers within industry and society. It focuses on current management practices, technological advancements, numerical techniques, contract procedures, and financial controls, helping students build professional skills and industry awareness. The Property and Construction Economics module explores both micro and macroeconomic aspects of the construction sector. It covers cost management and financial forecasting from the perspectives of clients, designers, and contractors, giving students a well-rounded view of economic influences on project development. The Environmental Sustainable Engineering & Logistics module introduces sustainable construction principles, environmental challenges, and the integration of design, operation, and management processes. It also includes the management of health and safety and relevant regulations within the built environment. Real Estate Investment, Management and Agency focuses on the property development process and includes practical insights into real estate investment, agency, and management. This module highlights the role of political, economic, and financial factors in property development and emphasizes the importance of viewing development as a multidisciplinary and social process. The Research Skills and Dissertation module develops students’ abilities in academic research, critical thinking, analysis, and communication. It enables them to manage a research project independently and present findings effectively. Finally, the Industrial Sandwich Placement provides valuable work-based experience, allowing students to apply their knowledge in a professional setting and address real-world problems.
