COURSE CURRICULUM

The Software Engineering program consists of core modules that collectively prepare students with both the theoretical foundation and practical skills necessary for building modern computing systems. The Cloud Computing module provides a comprehensive overview of cloud technologies, including data centres, virtualization, cloud storage, and service models. Students explore the motivations behind cloud adoption, its benefits and challenges, and gain an understanding of resource deployment, data centre design principles, and energy-efficient practices. The Database Systems module focuses on the design, implementation, and management of databases, ensuring students understand how to develop dependable systems for managing large volumes of data effectively. The Computer Architecture and Networks module helps students grasp the relationship between hardware and software, offering insights into how systems function at a low level. It also introduces networking principles, covering key developments in wireless, mobile, and cloud technologies. These modules ensure students are well-versed in both infrastructure and software aspects of computing. The Research Dissertation module allows students to apply what they have learned through an independent, practical project aligned with their field of study.
