The MSc program in Security Management offers a comprehensive approach to understanding the theoretical and practical aspects of cybersecurity and related fields. The core module, Security Management, focuses on equipping students with the necessary skills to secure information systems. This includes a deeper understanding of systems and risk management, identifying vulnerabilities, and integrating security management within IT practices. Students will also gain hands-on experience in auditing information systems to ensure compliance with industry standards. The module is assessed through an assignment and an exam, totaling 5000 words.The International Cyber-Conflict module delves into the concept of security at the international level, focusing on how security threats are conceptualized and what constitutes security. It explores various areas where security can be compromised, particularly in the context of global cyber conflicts. In the IT & Internet Law module, students will examine the legal challenges arising from the use of communication networks like the Internet. This module explores the contradictions and complexities of national, supra-national, and global legislative frameworks, preparing students to understand the legal dimensions of cybersecurity. It is assessed through assignments and exams, totaling 5000 words.The Cyber Defence Diplomacy module explores the intersection of cybersecurity and diplomacy, preparing students to navigate complex political and technical landscapes in international cyber defence strategies. Finally, the Mental Wealth: Professional Life (Dissertation) module requires students to undertake a practical project related to their MSc program. This project involves research, design, implementation, and evaluation, and students are expected to engage with real-world issues, demonstrating their ability to address ethical, legal, and professional challenges while developing expertise in the field. The dissertation also encourages self-reflection and professional development, helping students prepare for senior roles in the cybersecurity field.
