COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc in Cloud Computing at UEL is structured to provide a comprehensive and practical learning experience, combining core technical knowledge with applied professional skills to prepare students for advanced careers in cloud technologies and IT. The program features five core modules: Artificial Intelligence & Machine Vision, Cloud Computing, Big Data Analytics, Computer Security, and the Professional Life Dissertation project. Students develop expertise in cloud infrastructure, virtualisation, and data management, gaining hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and technologies. The course also equips learners with the knowledge to analyse risks, implement cryptography, and design robust digital security systems to protect against cyber threats, ensuring they can manage secure and reliable cloud environments. Big Data Analytics and AI modules provide insight into processing large datasets, machine learning, and intelligent system design, enabling students to apply computational techniques to solve complex problems. The Professional Life Dissertation project allows learners to undertake applied research or work-based projects, connecting theoretical understanding with practical applications while developing professional and project management skills. Throughout the program, students explore the ethical, legal, and social implications of cloud computing and emerging technologies, preparing them to implement responsible and sustainable solutions.
