COURSE CURRICULUM

This program provides an in-depth exploration of wellbeing, engagement, and positive change within workplace and organisational contexts, grounded in the principles of applied positive psychology. Students develop a strong understanding of how wellbeing and engagement can be enhanced at work, alongside learning processes that bring individuals and groups together, such as appreciative inquiry and emotionally intelligent leadership. A central focus is placed on building flourishing organisations, creating resilient and high-performing teams, and ensuring that business and organisational practices contribute positively to society. The Introduction to Applied Positive Psychology core module establishes a solid foundation in key theories, research, and ethical practice related to wellbeing and human flourishing. Positive Psychology at Work examines the application of these principles within organisational settings, while Positive Consultancy and Training develops practical skills for designing and delivering wellbeing and development interventions. The Capstone, Major Project, or Dissertation core module enables students to undertake an independent research or applied project focused on organisational wellbeing or leadership. Optional modules, including Applied Psychology for Coaches, Positive Psychology Coaching, and Positive Relationships, allow students to tailor their studies to specific professional interests. Learning is supported through strengths-based approaches, experiential case studies, and mastery-based pedagogy, preparing graduates to lead positive, ethical, and sustainable organisational development.
