The LLM Legal Practice with SQE Preparation at UEL offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to combine practical legal experience with advanced academic study, equipping students for successful progression to solicitor qualification. The program includes core modules such as SQE Qualifying Work Experience, which provides hands-on legal practice in real-world settings, and a Dissertation project that develops research, analytical, and professional skills through an in-depth study of a relevant legal topic. These optional modules cover diverse areas of international and commercial law, including International Law and Business, Law of International Finance, International Human Rights, Law and Development, International Commercial Arbitration, and International Corporate Governance. Other specialised options address contemporary legal challenges, such as Regulation of Financial Markets, the Law and Ethics of Artificial Intelligence and Technology, Mediation: Theory and Practice, International Environmental Law, and Forced Migration: Law, Policy and Practice.
