The BSc (Hons) Cloud Computing degree at UEL is designed to provide a comprehensive education in cloud computing, systems administration, network security, and the emerging technologies that drive the industry. The course is structured to develop essential skills through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical experience, ensuring that graduates are equipped for a successful career in the tech industry.In the first year, students focus on building a strong foundation in essential areas such as information systems modelling, software development, and web technologies. Key modules like the Software Development and Web Technologies modules allow students to design, implement, and test software applications, while the Maths for Computing module provides a solid understanding of mathematical concepts crucial for computer science. The Mental Wealth modules help students develop professional and personal skills, preparing them for the demands of the modern tech industry.In the second year, the course deepens your understanding of cloud technologies, with modules in database systems, systems administration, and web and mobile app development. Students gain practical, hands-on experience with cloud computing technologies, including an introduction to Enterprise Architecture and Cloud Computing. The Mental Wealth module continues to build on professional skills, offering opportunities for students to gain practical experience through job application preparation and industry-relevant knowledge.By the third year, students focus on advanced topics in cloud computing, information systems management, and project management. The course covers critical areas such as computer and network security, ensuring that students understand the methods used to protect systems from cyber threats.
