COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) Banking and Finance degree offers a structured and in-depth pathway to develop essential skills and knowledge for careers in the financial industry. In the first year, students build foundational expertise in accounting, economics, law, and business statistics, while also engaging with modules that develop academic, digital, and cultural competencies. Key modules include “Mental Wealth 1,” which focuses on personal and digital development, “People and Organisations,” which explores human behavior in work settings, and “Business Law,” which introduces students to the legal principles governing business structures and responsibilities. Additional core modules include economics, statistics, and business accounting, laying a strong groundwork in theory and practice. In the second year, the course deepens financial knowledge through modules such as Financial Management, Financial Economics, and Introduction to Econometrics. Students examine the legal and strategic issues affecting financial markets and institutions through modules like International Finance Law. Practical data analysis and financial decision-making become central to the curriculum. Employability remains a priority, supported by the “Mental Wealth 2” module that helps students document and develop key job-ready skills.
