The BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance program provides a comprehensive academic and professional foundation for a successful career in the finance sector. In the first year, students are introduced to key business disciplines such as law, economics, and organisational behaviour, alongside core accounting principles. Modules like Fundamentals of Business Accounting and Business Law offer an essential understanding of financial systems and the regulatory frameworks that govern them. Simultaneously, students build critical academic and digital skills that support both university-level study and future professional environments. This year lays the groundwork for interpreting financial information and understanding economic contexts.In the second year, the program shifts to more advanced and applied learning. Students engage in Intermediate Financial Reporting and Performance Management Accounting, gaining exposure to international accounting standards and techniques for financial decision-making. Real-world experience is encouraged through the Accounting and Tax Clinic, which simulates professional practice. The optional Taxation module further strengthens understanding of compliance in various business structures. These modules collectively provide a bridge between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in business settings, enhancing students’ employability and analytical capabilities.The final year focuses on preparing students for leadership and consultancy roles in the accounting and finance industry.
