COURSE CURRICULUM

The Interior Design program is structured to equip students with essential skills and knowledge to excel in the design field. The first year focuses on developing foundational skills, including spatial planning, materials, and design communication through various mediums such as drawing, model-making, and computer-aided design. This hands-on learning approach emphasizes critical thinking and professional development, integrating history, materiality, and technical studies to prepare students for both creative and practical challenges in design projects. Students begin to build their portfolios by experimenting with different techniques and creating solutions for design briefs.The core modules in the first year, such as Design Investigation 1, focus on helping students understand the processes and practices involved in spatial design. This includes working with materials and using various forms of representation, from sketches to mixed media, to communicate ideas effectively. In the Design Resolution 1 module, students are introduced to creating competent design proposals in response to real-world briefs, learning to evaluate and refine their ideas through feedback.
