COURSE CURRICULUM

In the first year of the program, students engage in various activities such as the Guest Speakers’ Series, Fashion Image Making, and Showcase, which help shape their understanding of the fashion industry. They develop skills in image creation, styling, and branding while exploring equality, diversity, and inclusion. Additionally, students are introduced to the business of fashion, learning about industry structure, supply chains, and marketing. In the second year, students participate in Career Week to prepare for placements and internships. They work on projects such as Fashion in Motion, where they create short films for clients, and Dragon’s Den, where they pitch business ideas. Students also delve deeper into equality, diversity, and inclusivity, and explore digital content creation. They build digital portfolios and undertake work-based learning, gaining insight into industry practices. Electives offer students the chance to specialize in areas such as Business Start-up, Product Styling for e-commerce, Digital Fashion, and Global Fashion Cultures. The final year begins with a project pitch, followed by units like Innovation for Industry and Critical Thinking for Publication. Students refine their skills in creative direction, culminating in the creation of a specialist project, research document, and graduate portfolio. Throughout the program, ATOM activities enhance the interdisciplinary learning experience. By the end of the course, students have developed a strong portfolio, ready to showcase their skills and creativity in the global fashion industry.
