Launch Week helps you explore inspiration through different mediums, while units like Theatre - Design, Skills, and Contexts and Screen - Design, Skills, and Contexts introduce you to design processes, text analysis, and the integration of different elements for storytelling. You’ll also engage with key topics such as Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion to understand the impact of social identities on creative spaces. Collaborative work is emphasized in Design and Agency, where you tackle socio-cultural issues. Practical skills are developed in Puppetry and Portfolio, as well as in hands-on projects like Opportunity Week, where you create a short film in 24 hours. Employment-focused learning in Employment Contexts and ATOM Activities provides industry exposure, and the PLE Digital Output helps you track your progress.In Year Two, the focus shifts to refining your practice through units like Theatre or Screen - Adaptation, where you adapt play texts to reflect contemporary issues. The Conscious Practitioner encourages you to explore global perspectives on diversity and inclusion in creative work. Practical making skills continue to be developed in Theatre or Screen - Making, while Professional and Collaborative Practice provides opportunities for real-world experience. Opportunity Week introduces creative game-building through a "Games Jam." Elective units, such as Film Production, Cinematography, and Screen Writing, further hone your skills.Year Three focuses on major independent projects. Minor Project allows you to develop a design within a speculative performance context, leading to the Major Project, where you synthesize everything you’ve learned into a comprehensive final portfolio. Units like Critical Investigation support research and help you articulate the theoretical foundations of your practice, culminating in a professional outcome that showcases your expertise.
