The "Launch" week prepares students for university learning through workshops designed to refresh existing skills, such as using 35mm cameras and processing black-and-white film. "Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity" provides awareness of how personal identity influences creative practice. The "Printmaking" unit, open to photography students, explores interdisciplinary printmaking techniques. "Opportunity" week offers personal tutorials and skill-refreshing workshops. "The Body" focuses on understanding various artistic and methodological approaches related to the body. "Professional Identities" helps students navigate professional contexts, while "Learning Enhancement" offers additional workshops to expand skill sets.In Year Two, students prepare for advanced topics with "Launch" week, including workshops and preparation for "Spatial Practices," which investigates how photography interacts with space and power. "The Conscious Practitioner" encourages reflection on inclusion, exclusion, and how values influence creative practice. "Conceptual Disciplinary Elective" allows students to choose a specialized elective to deepen their learning. "Expanded Practices" explores photography’s relationship with multiple mediums, broadening creative possibilities. "Professional Development" builds on Year 1's work to enhance professional skills, while "Professional Experience" offers the chance to engage in real-world contexts and prepare for post-graduation.In Year Three, "Launch" week focuses on reflecting and reworking existing work. "Final Major Project – Development" guides students in refining their final projects. "Critical Contexts" helps synthesize research within relevant critical frameworks. "Opportunity" week provides feedback and independent work time, and the "Final Major Project: Realisation" allows students to complete their major work and professional exit plan, marking their transition to professional or postgraduate environments.
