COURSE CURRICULUM

The Finance and Accounting BSc (Hons) degree offers a comprehensive foundation in financial principles, accounting practices, and business analytics, preparing students for a wide range of careers in accounting, corporate finance, and financial services. In the first year, students develop essential skills through core modules including management accounting, financial accounting, accounting information systems, business analytics, and professional practice for finance and accounting, providing both theoretical knowledge and practical insight into the role of accountants in organisations. The second year builds on this foundation with advanced modules in financial management, audit and governance, taxation, business law, and management and organisations, enabling students to apply analytical and strategic thinking to complex business and financial scenarios. In the final year, the focus is on advanced financial reporting, performance management, leadership and enterprise strategy, and a research project, allowing students to integrate and apply their learning to real-world challenges. Additionally, students can choose from options such as corporate risk management or portfolio management, tailoring their studies to their career interests.
