COURSE CURRICULUM

The Aviation and Airport Management degree is structured to provide a progressive and comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry over three or four years, depending on the chosen pathway. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge through core modules such as Global Aviation Environment, Aviation Passenger Experience, Personal Branding, Digital Content Creation, Successful Airport Design, and Aviation Flight Planning. These modules introduce the operational, technical, and customer-focused aspects of aviation. The second year builds on this foundation with Aviation Operations and Safety Management, Aviation Revenue Management, Marketing Consultancy Project, Business Innovation, and Sustainable Aviation Management, complemented by an option to specialise in areas such as Aviation Security Operations, Cargo and Logistics Management, Digital Communication for Business, Event Tourism, or niche tourism areas. The program also includes an optional work placement in the third year for BA Hons students, providing practical industry experience and enhancing employability. For those pursuing the four-year pathway, the final year focuses on advanced strategic and leadership modules including Strategic Aviation Business Management, Aviation Network Management, Strategic People Leadership, and Enterprise and Innovation Showcase, with additional options in Crisis and Risk Management, Aircraft Maintenance Systems Management, Strategic International Marketing, International Tourism Destination Management, and Optimising Operational Efficiency. Across all years, the program combines theoretical study, practical projects, and industry exposure, equipping graduates with the skills, knowledge, and professional networks necessary for successful careers in aviation and airport management.
