COURSE CURRICULUM

The Accounting ACCA program at Brighton combines academic study with professional ACCA qualification, providing students with the knowledge and skills needed for senior roles in accountancy. Core modules include Strategic Business Reporting, which develops expertise in preparing and analysing complex financial reports, and Strategic Business Leader, which focuses on strategic management, leadership, and decision-making in a business context. Students also complete a dissertation, allowing them to undertake independent research on an accounting or finance topic of interest, and a work placement project, providing practical, real-world experience in a professional setting. The course offers a range of optional modules, including Advanced Audit and Assurance, Advanced Performance Management, Advanced Financial Management, and Advanced Taxation, enabling students to tailor their studies to their career ambitions and areas of interest. The program’s embedded master’s structure, aligned with the ACCA Strategic Professional stage, ensures students graduate with both a university qualification and the professional credentials necessary to become a Chartered Certified Accountant.
