COURSE CURRICULUM

The Interior Design MA course structure combines advanced creative practice with critical and theoretical inquiry to help students develop a sophisticated understanding of spatial design. Core modules such as Design: Masterwork and Design Research Practices enable students to refine their personal design vision and engage in rigorous research-led projects. Modules like Situate and Design Strategies encourage the exploration of context, identity, and meaning within interior environments, while Design Lab provides an experimental platform for testing ideas through collaboration, innovation, and material experimentation. Together, these modules support the development of a critical and reflective design process that connects conceptual thinking with practical application. Optional modules, including Sustainable Design: Future(s) and Critical Readings in Spatial Design, allow students to tailor their learning by focusing on key issues such as environmental responsibility, sustainability, and the evolving cultural and theoretical frameworks that shape spatial practice.
