COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management BSc(Hons) degree at Brighton provides a comprehensive foundation in business principles and practice while offering flexibility to specialise in areas of interest. In the first year, all students study core modules covering business economics, marketing principles, organisational behaviour and human resource management, financial knowledge and skills, enterprise project work, and managing systems and operations. These modules develop essential skills in leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, and practical business application, preparing students for more advanced study. In the second year, students can continue a broad business management route or begin to specialise in fields such as HR, finance, economics, entrepreneurship, law, or marketing. Core modules include international business analysis, business law, and managing digital transformation, complemented by optional modules in areas such as creativity, sustainable operations, digital marketing, leadership, and applied analytics, allowing students to tailor their learning. In the final year, students further personalise their studies through a wide selection of optional modules covering entrepreneurship, financial markets, international business, corporate social responsibility, employee relations, consumer psychology, marketing, and supply chain management. Core modules focus on managing teams, strategy, and developing professional practice in business, while practical projects, research, and case studies ensure students are equipped with the skills, knowledge, and experience to succeed in diverse business environments.
