COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management with Tourism degree combines core business management principles with an in-depth understanding of the global tourism and travel industry. In the first year, students gain a solid foundation in key business areas such as marketing, finance, operations, economics, and human resource management, while also being introduced to the tourism sector through field trips and industry guest lectures. The second year focuses on developing specialist knowledge of tourism alongside business studies, covering subjects like digital transformation, destination marketing, wellbeing and leisure, and the role of tourists in shaping the industry. Students also have the flexibility to choose optional modules to tailor their learning, such as international business analysis, creativity in enterprise, and digital marketing. In the final year, students integrate their business and tourism knowledge through core modules in strategic management, sustainable destination planning, and professional practice. A dissertation focusing on contemporary issues in tourism enables them to apply their skills in research and critical analysis. The course prepares graduates for diverse careers within the tourism and hospitality sectors, as well as in general business management roles, by equipping them with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills essential for success in a fast-evolving global industry.
