COURSE CURRICULUM

The Business Management with Human Resource Management (HRM) degree at Brighton provides a comprehensive understanding of business operations alongside specialist HR skills, preparing students for diverse careers in management and human resources. In the first year, all students study core modules covering business economics, marketing, organisational behaviour, financial knowledge, enterprise skills, and managing systems and operations, offering a solid foundation in business principles and practice. From the second year, students can specialise in HRM while continuing to develop essential business expertise. Core second-year modules include international business analysis, managing digital transformation, leadership, business law, and working across cultures, with a wide range of optional modules allowing students to tailor their learning to personal interests, such as finance, innovation, analytics, and sustainability. In the final year, students integrate their knowledge through core modules like strategy and research into contemporary HR and organisational behaviour issues, while optional modules enable further specialisation in areas such as employee relations, selection and development, organisational change, and strategic HRM.
