COURSE CURRICULUM

The Robotics and Mechatronic Engineering degree offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines theory, practical skills, and project-based learning to prepare students for careers in automation and intelligent systems. In the first year, students are introduced to foundational topics such as engineering mathematics, electrical engineering, embedded systems, analogue and digital electronics, artificial intelligence, and engineering practice. Integrated design projects allow students to apply theoretical concepts in practical contexts, developing problem-solving and technical skills early in their studies. In the second year, the focus expands to mechanical, electrical, and design engineering disciplines, with students gaining hands-on experience in specialist labs. Modules include dynamics and control, electrical engineering, intelligent systems, engineering design, embedded systems, and sensors and actuators, providing the technical expertise necessary for complex system development. In the final year, students undertake an individual project that spans from conceptualisation and business planning to implementation and evaluation, allowing them to demonstrate the full range of skills acquired throughout the course. Additional modules such as advanced control systems, human-robotic interaction, product design, and advanced robotic communications prepare students for the multidisciplinary challenges of modern engineering. By the end of the degree, graduates possess the practical experience, theoretical knowledge, and professional competencies needed to excel in robotics, mechatronics, and related technology industries globally.
