COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Project Management programme includes a range of core modules designed to develop professional project management knowledge, leadership skills, and practical expertise required in modern industries. The Project Management and Control module focuses on project planning, scheduling, budgeting, monitoring, and resource management to ensure successful project delivery. Through Project Delivery and International Project Management, students learn how to manage projects across global environments while understanding international business practices, cultural differences, and the challenges of leading diverse teams. The Commercial and Contractual Issues in Project Management module introduces students to procurement, contracts, legal considerations, and commercial strategies that are essential in managing complex projects. Leadership and Management of Project Risk, Quality and People helps students develop leadership, communication, and decision-making skills while learning how to manage project risks, maintain quality standards, and effectively lead teams. The Understanding Organisations and Systems module explores organisational structures, business systems, and management processes that support successful project operations. In addition, students complete a major Project or Dissertation, allowing them to apply research and analytical skills to investigate a real project management issue or challenge in depth.
