COURSE CURRICULUM

The MSc Fintech and Trading programme includes a range of core modules designed to develop students’ expertise in financial technology, trading, data analysis, and modern financial systems. The Financial Modelling and Design module focuses on creating and analysing financial models used to support investment decisions, risk assessment, and business strategy. Through Programming for Financial Products and Services, students learn coding skills and develop technological solutions for financial applications using modern programming techniques. The Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technology module explores the structure, functionality, and practical applications of blockchain systems within financial services, including digital transactions and security. Students also study Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Technologies, where they gain knowledge of advanced technologies used for data analysis, forecasting, automation, and decision-making in financial markets. The Financial Markets and Trading module provides an understanding of global financial markets, trading strategies, market behaviour, and risk management while allowing students to work with real market data and trading tools. In addition, students complete a Research Project, enabling them to investigate a specialised fintech or trading topic in depth while developing research, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Overall, the programme combines finance, technology, and practical trading knowledge to prepare graduates for careers in fintech, trading, investment analysis, financial modelling, and other technology-driven financial sectors.
