COURSE CURRICULUM

The BSc (Hons) International Tourism and Hospitality Management course is structured over three years to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of tourism, hospitality, leisure, and service sector management. In the first year, students develop foundational knowledge through modules such as Tourism and Heritage Management, Fundamentals of Leisure, Tourism and Hospitality, Global Tourism, and Marketing and Business for the Service Sector. These subjects introduce key industry concepts, customer service principles, tourism operations, and business practices. The second year focuses on practical and analytical skills with modules including Current Issues in Tourism and Hospitality, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions, Consultancy for the Visitor Economy, and Research Methods for the Service Sector. Students can also choose optional modules such as Cultural Tourism, Branding for the Service Sector, Human Resource Management, and Tourism Fieldwork to tailor their studies to personal interests and career goals. In the final year, students study advanced topics including International Hospitality Management, Strategic Planning for Tourism and Leisure, Urban Tourism, Gastronomy, Service Quality, and Digital Technologies in the Visitor Economy. Students may also complete a major project focused on international hospitality management. Throughout the course, students build professional, leadership, and management skills while gaining industry-focused knowledge and practical experience that prepare them for careers in the global tourism and hospitality sector.
