COURSE CURRICULUM

The BA (Hons) Business and Management course is structured across three years, with each stage designed to develop students’ understanding of business, management, leadership, and professional skills. In the first year, students build a strong foundation in core business concepts through modules such as Business Organisations and Society, Understanding Markets and Marketing, Fundamentals of Financial Decision Making, and Business Management Skills Development. These subjects introduce students to how businesses operate, the role of marketing, financial decision-making, and essential management skills. During the second year, the focus shifts toward practical application and professional development. Students study modules including Managing Self and Others, Delivering Projects for Organisational Success, Corporate Finance and Portfolio Valuation, and Integrated Marketing Practice. These modules help students develop leadership abilities, project management expertise, financial analysis skills, and practical marketing knowledge. In the final year, students engage with advanced business and leadership topics that prepare them for senior roles in organisations. Modules such as Strategic Leadership and Collaboration, Managing Business Continuity and Resilience, Leading and Implementing Organisational Change, and the Business Consultancy Project encourage students to solve real business challenges, manage organisational change, and develop strategic thinking.
